Who? Ryan Murphy (creator); MJ Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Angelica Ross, Evan Peters, Kate Mara.

What? A new musical drama series from Glee creator Murphy, which takes place in New York circa 1986, looking at the juxtaposition of several different parts of society.

Why? Murphy has form both in this genre (well, the first two seasons of Glee at least) and in TV as a whole recently, even if his record overall is a little patchy. It's an interesting setting too, allowing us to see multiple sides of society, a fascinating period for New York, and some modern-day parallels, while it also includes the largest transgender cast ever seen in a scripted series.
