What? A low-rent, fed-up Midwest hitman travels to Los Angeles for a job, and ends up finding acceptance within the local theatre community.
Why? Hader's off-kilter comedic talents have been obvious for some time now, especially thanks to his award-winning work on SNL and supporting roles in the likes of Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Superbad, and he's also proven his acting chops in films like The Skeleton Twins. This strange premise should be a great showcase for those talents, helped by the excellent Berg who, as well as writing for Seinfeld, has worked extensively on two of HBO's biggest comedy hits: Curb Your Enthusiasm and Silicon Valley.
