12. Rectify - July 9th

Rectify is the Sundance channel's first scripted series, which premiered in 2013 to pretty favourable reviews. The show follows Daniel Holden, who spent 19 years on death row before new evidence comes out that allows him to be released. It takes place in Paulie, Georgia, and also stars Abigail Spencer, J. Smith-Cameron and Adelaide Clemens.

It's a pretty interesting, low key character study, which unfortunately very few people are actually watching. Might this be the kind of show like Breaking Bad which isn't very popular when it starts but is able to gradually build momentum? 

The show's third season begins on July 9th.
