15. Al Rothstein Honeymooned In Hawaii

For the eagle-eyed amongst us, the infancy of The Flash saw Al Rothstein listed as one of the many who died after the whole particle accelerator accident that created the Sultan of Speed.

So when we were told that Rothstein was to appear in this episode, many presumed that this new version of the character would be from an alternative world. Then further confusion was thrown into the mix when the original Rothstein was shown dead early on in this episode, meaning he hadn’t died as initially reported during the particle accelerator explosion.

To cover up Rothstein’s reported demise from the start of Season 1, the show explained that he was actually on honeymoon in Hawaii when things all went wrong last year.

In fairness to the show’s writers, that’s some mighty fine backtracking.
