6. Inspector Gadget

On its first run from 1983 to 1986, Inspector Gadget was incredibly popular and it has been repeated and spun-off from many times since. Arguably, the most memorable thing about the show that centred around a bumbling cyborg police inspector was the very appealing theme tune. "Doo doo doo doo doo Inspector Gadget" - it's simple, but very effective! And the "go Gadget go" segment was equally as catchy. Fun all round.

5. Count Duckula

Like Danger Mouse who came before him, another character voiced by the inimitable David Jason was Count Duckula. Running from 1988 to 1993, this was a really fun cartoon with the titular character interacting with his supporting cast, such as Igor and Nanny, for humorous outcomes on a weekly basis. But the theme tune was spectacular. Starting with the hilarious error on the part of Nanny that sees her bring tomato ketchup (instead of blood) for a resurrection ritual, this theme bursts in to song with diva Doreen Edwards belting out the lyrics alongside supporting vocalist Mike Harding. Everybody now! "In the heart of Transylvania...".
