17. Disenchantment

It has, somewhat remarkably, been 19 years since Matt Groening created a TV series, which is frankly far too long for the man responsible for gifting us with two of television's finest animated comedies. Or just comedies, for that matter.

His big return comes in the form of Disenchantment, a much more adult animated series that will air on Netflix later this year (it already has a two-season order in the bag).

The show will take place in the kingdom of Beanlandia, and focus on the alcoholic Princess Bean, her elf companion Elfo, and personal demon Luci. Groening promises that it'll tackle life and death, love and sex.
