Sam Esmail has created one of the most interesting series of the last few years with Mr Robot, especially from a visual point-of-view (it's unclear whether Season 4 will make it this year, given his other commitments), and that's reason enough to be interested in this - like with Robot, he's writing and directing.
The show itself is a psychological thriller about a caseworker at a secret government facility, and a soldier who wants to rejoin civilian life. Stephan James will play the latter, and Julia Roberts - in her first leading TV role - will play the former.
The pairing of Roberts and Esmail is an exciting one, and the psychological aspect is one that the pair should be able to do a lot with, especially with the backing of Amazon.
