Much like The Flash’s season premiere saw the apparent demise of Ronnie Raymond, Arrow’s Season 4 opener gave us news on the fate of Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer.

As we see a signboard listing “Star City: Renamed in memory of Dr. Raymond Palmer (1981 – 2015)”, it’s confirmed to us that Palmer perished during the huge explosion that took place during last season’s climactic moments.
Of course, for those who have seen glimpses of the upcoming DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, maybe all is not as it first seems…
