Now seeing Damien Darhk so early in the season may have come as a surprise to some, but this episode went one further and actually showed this mysterious rogue in action several times.

First up we see Darhk essentially drain a man of his lifeforce, then later in the episode we see him manipulate some of Ollie’s arrows in a way reminiscent of a Sith Lord. The Force is most definitely strong with this one.
Oliver confirmed that Damien’s powers are of a mystical nature, which certainly steps away from the realistic, gritty approach that Arrow has so often been tied to during its run so far.
