Having now returned to the hero gig and rechristened himself Green Arrow, we get to see Oliver Queen take to the airwaves of Star City’s TV stations in order to send a message to those watching.

Not only is he the protector of Star City following the ‘death’ of The Arrow, he declares that his new M.O. is “to be the symbol of hope that The Arrow never was. I am The Green Arrow”. And there we have it, no longer is Ollie a hero driven by darkness, but he is now a hero driven by hope.
Much like the show itself was promised to be going in a new, lighter direction, it appears that it’s titular hero has followed suit.
