Oh God. Oh sweet Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Where do I begin? Remember how I said that sitcoms are nothing but rehashes on old series and premises that have nothing new to offer? Well, at least they took the time to actually do a different story instead of just shoving it up down our throats with the same cliches and tropes we've seen to this date. With the so called Teen Dramas, they don't even bother to do that. It's pretty much the same show over and over again with nothing new except the year it's been set, and the name of the characters. For the rest, it's more of the same. What baffles me the most is to see that no effort is put on these things, none, zero, nada. You've seen one, you've seen them all. But I believe makes me more angry the more I think about it is how unrealistic the premises of these series are. They're supposed to be set in real high schools with problems that real high schoolers face through their years there. And yet not even one of those series has some believable characters. They're all just a bunch of stupid, egotistic pricks that just spend their days doing nothing but worrying about who is dating who. I'm not sure if my experience in high school was different than yours, but I was more focused on studying and actually passing my exams than who is sleeping with who. Sure, social life was important but not as much, and I wasn't the only one. And yet not once, not once I've seen these characters worrying about their studies. Why? And that's not the worst part, no. The worst part comes from the fact that the events that happen in those high schools are completely ridiculous and stupid. They pretty much jump the shark every week. We have characters having STD's, being murdered, serial rapists, thieves, terrorism and God knows what else. If there's any mom or dad reading this, please answer me - would you leave your son in a school where all those things happened in the same year? I don't think so. At least Teen Wolf took the time to develop some lame excuse as to why all those things are happening to those people. Sure, it's a lame and stupid excuse that doesn't help with the show at all, but at least they're giving us something. What's the excuse for the rest of them? Are they going to tell us that all the high schools in the US are built on top of ancient ritual sites? I really can't stress enough how ridiculous these shows are. My guess is that they will never die as long as there are stupid teenagers willing to destroy their brains by watching stupid people behaving stupidly. And speaking of which...
