When the opening countdown shuffles its way onto my iPod at any time of the day, I immediately forget what mood I'm in at that moment, and slowly transcend into a fist-clenching, overly attentive and powerful warrior. The vocalist to the theme, Ron Wasserman, adds an incredibly suave feel to the record. His somewhat husky tone adds a certain element of modernity to the intro and couples well with the pacing rhythm of the theme tune. Whist musically simplistic, this opening has a more aggressive edge to it and is less playful than the majority of other theme tunes. I could imagine hearing this song with my teeth tightly clenched as well as my fists, eager to lay my hands on the nearest galactic enemies I could find, all the while prancing about in my pajamas and dodging the lamp in the corner of the room.
