5. Cooper Loses His Memory

Playtest is best known for its twist ending, which is completely understandable, but the most unbearable moment in this episode is the scene where Cooper develops a sudden case of Alzheimer's.

He can't remember who he is, where he is, and he can't even recognize himself in the mirror. Before he wakes up, he's reduced to a tiny shell of his former self. It's a scene that would horrify anyone, but to people who've had friends or family members diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the past, it hits a little too close to home.

What makes it worse: unlike the majority of Black Mirror characters who get screwed over in the end, Cooper doesn't actually do anything wrong. Okay, so he probably should've called his mother, but he was still a genuinely good person who ended up dying in his worst nightmare.
