5 Most Memorable Friends Guest Stars

1. Bruce Willis As Paul Stevens

I could not imagine having to ask Bruce Willis to date his daughter, but that is exactly what Ross had to do during the sixth season of Friends. Bruce Willis appeared as Paul Stevens, the burly and intimidating yet sensitive single father to Elizabeth Stevens, a college student that Ross begins to date. The moral issue with their relationship is that Ross is a professor at the same university. Paul makes it very clear that he does not want Ross to date Elizabeth, and he later threatened to get him fired if he continued to see Elizabeth. Paul ends up beginning to date Rachel, leading up to one of the funniest scenes in the entire series. At his summer house, Ross is hiding in Paul's bedroom as Paul walks in to get himself mentally prepared to be with Rachel. He begins to talk to himself in the mirror, saying to his reflection "you're a neat guy" and "you're just a love machine." He follows this by singing part of the song "Love Machine" and then flexing obnoxiously. It is truly one of the funniest scenes I have ever scene. And it shows why Bruce Willis got a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for this very role.
