What is the same thing you hear on every other late night talk show? You hear the host make fun of whatever is happening in the news that day or that week. You hear them make fun of celebrities who did the latest dumb thing on TMZ. You will hear political humor or jokes about the economy. Pete Holmes does a monologue too, but his is pure stand up. On his first show he did about 10 minutes about a Enrique Iglasias concert he went to (see video below). Iglasias wasn't a guest on the show, he wasn't in the headlines or anything. Pete just did the bit because he believed it was funny. Instead of hearing the same jokes told multiple different ways on Letterman, Kimmell or Fallon you'll get a nice dose of pure stand up.
