This is the thing that annoys me most about Family Guy. The inclusion of music videos to pad out the episodes. And were not talking little snippets of music videos. The writers decide to be lazy as hell and stick full length music videos in some episodes just because it means that theres four minutes less story and dialogue to come up with. If you are either incapable of or dont have the will to write a twenty minute episode thats filled with interchangeable cutaway gags, then you should not be working in the television industry. Compare that to somebody like Roy Clarke who wrote all two-hundred-and-ninety-five episodes of Britcom Last Of The Summer Wine (none of which were shorter than thirty minutes, and several of which were as long as ninety minutes) and its clear how much of a truly lazy tactic this is.
