Nathan Barley tackled "the rise of the idiots" in 2005, before Hipsters were as popular as they are now. The comedy follows Dan, an apathetic and frustrated writer which, after publishing his rant about, well, hipsters on a second-class magazine called SugarApe, becomes Nathan's guide for cool. Blissfully unaware that he is one of the idiots Dan despises so much, Nathan becomes his biggest fan, much to Dan's despair. He calls himself a "self-facilitating media node". He's a writer, webmaster, a filmmaker and a DJ. He lives in London, dresses with a questionable sense of style, thinks he's too cool and is overall a bit of a poser. Sounds familiar? He's just like a Hipster.
