5 TV Shows That Should Have Got A Second Season

3. Freaks and Geeks

Judd Apatow is the comic genius behind classics such as The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, but before he was delivering crude humour to the masses, he also developed one of the best teen TV series of all time. Freaks and Geeks revolved around two groups in high school - the popular kids and the less popular losers. It's a storyline used time and time again, but Freaks and Geeks did it better than most. The soundtrack was awesome and the acting was terrific; too bad it never stood a chance. NBC let this great series die a slow and lonely death with almost no advertising or support, but it's not all doom and gloom; Hollywood superstar James Franco launched his career from this cult classic, as well as Jason Segel and Seth Rogen. Maybe the series was ahead of its time or maybe it just didn't appeal to the younger generation; whatever the reason, like the rest of the shows on this list, it's a pity it wasn't given a chance. Let's hope the rumours of a reunion movie turn out to be true.
