1. The Premise Changed

The original premise of Supernatural was terrifying. There are things that go bump in the night. If they happen to bump into you, your life could change forever. One second, the Winchesters were an ordinary family, the next they were thrust into the world of the Supernatural and became hunters. It could happen to anyone. Until the writers changed all that by adding to the Winchester family history. John Winchester is descended from the men of letters. Mary Winchester from a family of hunters. Both had major encounters with demons shape their young lives. Heaven and hell went out of their way to make sure John and Mary ended up together so their children could be vessels for Lucifer and Michael. They were fated to be involved with the Supernatural. While each revelation was cooler than the last, the show did lose something by taking away the ordinary family backstory. All these changes aren€™t necessarily a bad thing. Many fans feel that Supernatural has evolved into a better show. But no one can deny that Supernatural has become a very different show since season one. What do you think about all the ways Supernatural has changed throughout the years?
