6 Criminally Underrated Monty Python Sketches

6. Ethel The Frog/The Piranha Brothers

However, if you are not a Python fan there is a very good chance you would not have heard of this sketch and that would be a shame. The sketch is based on the life of the famous criminals Ron and Reggie Kray, who terrorised the London East End in the Early 60s. The performances are very good, with John Cleese playing the host of the program as well as the female impersonator that "walked out" with Dinsdale being a particular standout. The sketch also has a wonderfully surreal way of wrapping itself up, focusing on the theatrical exploits of Harry 'Snapper' Organs as he attempts to thwart the two brothers using a myriad of disguises.
