The wife of previous Hand to Robert Baratheon, Jon Arryn, Lysa Arryn seemed to once have been sensible, or at least that is what we are lead to believe. However, when she appears in the series she has clearly gone around the bend, driven mad by the death of her husband by poison, which Lysa seems to suspect, without any proof, the Lannisters were behind. After her husband's death Lysa retreated to the Vale, with her equally annoying son Robin. Lysa Arryn's true annoying character comes out mainly during Tyrion Lannister's trial for the murder of her husband, again without proof, and for the attack on Bran Stark, without much evidence. Lysa, and her son's unbelievable thirst for revenge and Tyrion's blood makes them annoying as all hell, especially during the trial scene where the boy keeps calling to see Tyrion "fly", code for throwing the Imp out of the castle and watching him plummet to his death. Lysa Arryn's extreme paranoia, coupled with her insistence on treating Tyrion, one of the fans' favourite characters, so poorly with no evidence, coupled with an equally if not more annoying son, is what truly makes her earn her place in the hearts of the fans as an annoying character.
