Staging Breaking Bad? It'd have a running time that would put Shakespeare to shame. The core narrative of Walt's transformation from pillar of the community to meth wizard could form the basis of a play. Or how about an opera? Am I the only one who wants to see Leonel and Marco Salamanca (aka "The Cousins") suddenly burst into an aria? Hmm, maybe I am.

A musical incarnation of the show on the other hand... that isn't so far-fetched. Everything from Dirty Dancing to American Psycho has had the razzle dazzle treatment. It's only a matter of time before some enterprising producer sees potential box office gold in yet another unlikely source.

But in all seriousness, a musical would be the worst idea since Gus's right hand man Victor bought that box cutter. White and Pinkman sharing a duet in the Winnebago? Hank and Steve Gomez belting out a high energy number over the donuts? Mike drowning his sorrows and growling out a slow blues number? I'd rather put my head under a cash machine.
