6 Ups & 3 Downs From The Arrowverse In 2020

Canaries, crossovers and the Crisis made the Arrowverse's shortest year a memorable one.

It's almost time for us to reflect on the first half of the year in the entertainment industry, appreciating the highs and lows of what the first six months of 2020 had to offer. But for the Arrowverse (and many other TV shows), the conclusion of the spring TV season brings about an end of its entire contributions for the year.

Due to everything going on in the world right now, the next seasons of each Arrowverse show (and the new seasons of hopefully two new ones) will arrive in 2021. It's unfortunate yes, but an understandable outcome given current world events.

The one silver lining is that it gives us a chance to reflect on everything that went down in The CW's shared universe of heroes now (instead of the end of the year), analysing where it excelled and where it fell a little bit short.

It has certainly been an interesting year for the Arrowverse. Kicking things off with the conclusion of the epic Crisis On Infinite Earths, it has since been busy setting up its brave new world - one that could very well consist of some long-awaited spin-offs. But it wasn't all ups, ups and aways for The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman.

First, the negatives...
