7 Ideas For The New Arrowverse Show In 2020
7. Hawkman And Hawkgirl
No would blame you if you completely forgot that Hawkman and Hawkgirl not only exist in the Arrowverse, but were actually heavily featured in the first season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Despite their hefty presence and renown in both the comics and the Justice League animated series, their characters just didn't connect with fans before they faded into the background of Arrowverse lore.
So why make a series around them if they were so forgettable? Although the characters were dull most of the time, there's still so much potential left untapped. The incarnate nature of the Hawk lovers could easily open the door for an anthology series, with each one set in a different time period, dealing with its contemporary problems. If the series took inspiration from Bryan Hitch's current Hawkman comic, an incarnation based on the extra-terrestrial Thanagarians would certainly bring some much needed intrigue and depth to their characters.
Alternatively, the series could just as easily examine their modern incarnations and fill in the gaps of what they have been up to since leaving the Legends. With powers as great as theirs, it would be hard to believe that Hawkman and Hawkgirl would just stay in the shadows.
With superheroes as high profile as these for DC Comics fans, it seems entirely non-sensical to leave them in the bottom drawer forever.
