7 Upcoming New CW Shows To Be Excited About
7. The Lost Boys
We all know how The CW loves resurrecting old properties for a new generation, so it's only fitting that one of their upcoming reboots revolves around the undead. Yes, the network has been planning a reimagining of the classic 1987 film for quite some time, but they've been having a little trouble getting it off the ground.
Originally announced in 2016, it was envisioned as a seven-year anthology series, with each season set in a different decade while flipping out the cast (save for the vampires). Though a pilot wasn't ordered, The CW remained invested in the project and it was soon redeveloped.
It was later reimagined again and a pilot was actually filmed (with the likes of Tyler Posey and Kiele Sanchez being cast as main characters), but the network passed on it earlier this year and decided to redevelop it once again - releasing all of the main actors with the exception of Medalion Rahimi and Dakota Shapiro, both of whom will stay on and film new scenes with a new cast for the next iteration of the pilot episode.
According to the show's executive producer, this retooling isn't as extensive as the previous ones, so hopefully this time the Lost Boys will stop resting in peace and actually return to our screens.
