Before Pierce Brosnan was James Bond, he was Remington Steele. This entertaining US dramedy paved the way for shows like Moonlighting and is still fondly remembered today. The show featured many guest stars and most enjoyable of all was Tom Baker in the 1984 episode Hounded Steele. In one of his earliest parts after Doctor Who, Tom thrilled audiences as Anatole Blaylock, a renegade Interpol agent who murdered a bunch of people until he came up against the proto-Bond and was thwarted. This role reminded viewers how well Tom could play "bad" - and was far from the only evil character he would bring to life over the coming years.
