8 Things You Need To Know About The First 7 Episodes Of Daredevil Season 2

5. It's A Lot Lighter On Easter Eggs

I'm the first to admit that spotting Easter Eggs isn't my area of expertise, but they were still easy to find in the first season of Daredevil. With Matt Murdock's role as a hero now established and the introduction of two major characters like Elektra and The Punisher, perhaps Marvel decided fan service wasn't a major priority because these episodes are light on nods to the source material. That's not necessarily a bad thing though. That's because there's one moment in particular between Daredevil and The Punisher (which has been strongly hinted at and pretty much revealed in the trailers and posters) which not only does the comic books justice, but improves on them. Quality storytelling is very much the name of the game here, and if that means dialling back on the winks and nods, it does Daredevil a lot of favours in these first seven episodes.
