8 TV Shows That Are Going To Get Cancelled In 2016
8. Bordertown
An animated sitcom that falls back on racist and stereotypical humour – what could possibly go wrong? Bordertown follows two families living in a Southwest desert town on the US-Mexico border, the imaginatively titled Mexifornia.
It's not even that the show is too shocking or edgy to appeal to a wide audience...it's just not very good. The jokes aren't satirical or subversive and they provide little in the way of backhanded social commentary.
A lack of quality is a grim enough prospect in itself, but there aren't a whole lot of people watching, either. Eleven episodes into the first season and Bordertown is struggling to scrape one million in a slot that generally performs much better. With just two episodes before the season comes to an end and no word on a renewal, expect the imminent closure of Mexifornia.
