Know what's mind-bendingly awesome about Ash vs. Evil Dead? The run time. With half-hour episodes, there's rarely any down time. It's fast paced, wall-to-wall action, and the time just flies by. That may seem like a strange compliment - shouldn't you want more of a good thing? - but sometimes, less is more. There are way too many scenes in The Walking Dead (and it's not alone in this) that seem to simply be filler needed to justify the hour-long (minus commercials) run time. There are no such issues in Ash vs. Evil Dead. It feels as if every scene matters - because generally, they do.
