4. Agent Coulson Could Return

In The Avengers, Agent Coulson died at the hands of Loki. Later, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would reveal that Nick Fury used Kree technology to bring his most loyal agent back from the dead, but when his body started giving out on him, fans were forced to bid farewell to Coulson (again) at the end of season five.

The show managed to bring him back, of course, and the latest version has been an LMD with all of Coulson's memories. Despite initially not wanting to have been brought back, he's come to terms with his new existence, and finally decided against powering himself down. While his friends try to convince him to return to action, it seems he has other plans, though he does accept a mission from Mack.

With a new version of his beloved, flying car, Coulson flies off into the sunset with a fresh start, and the opportunity to do whatever he likes moving forward. The big question among fans is whether this will finally see him reunite with The Avengers, but should Kevin Feige decide to bring him back, then there may not necessarily be a need to address his LMD status or anything that's happened to him.
