Samuel L. Jacksons Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders Maria Hill have both made brief appearances on the show, while Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) has also tied into it, and most notably Jaime Alexanders Lady Sif has made a couple of significant appearances.
Its something that helps the show feel like a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but in a way that makes sense and fits in with the story of the show, rather than just having a superhero turn up for the sake of it because Marvel!
Its likely a trend theyll continue with in season 3. Given Sif has appeared in both seasons so far, its a fair assumption she might return again, and the same can be said for Peggy as it helps to promote Agent Carter. Will they be the only two, or do the overlords at Marvel and ABC have some bigger plans?
