Who She Is: Elena Rodriguez AKA Slingshot is the newest Inhuman introduced on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. She has superspeed capabilities and can travel at top speed for as far as she can reach in a single heartbeat. Shes already proved herself willing to help the good guys, and she has her faith as a Christian to bolster her spiritual fortitude. Why She Could Die: As the newest Inhuman, Elena has had the least time to develop ties with the audience. Even if she appears on a regular basis for the rest of Season 3, we likely wont be as attached to her as to any of the other good guys on the show. Killing Elena would be a tragedy without being a heartbreaker. Also, the necklace floating in the Quinjet belongs to her. Why She Might Not: Elena has a lot of potential as Slingshot, and she brings something entirely new to the team at S.H.I.E.L.D. It would be a huge waste to kill her off so soon after introducing her. Besides, her necklace being present at the death scene is too obvious a clue to start mourning her just yet.
