Because the MCU is a connected universe, there is no reason to think that AoS will not also connect to the 5 series being developed for Netflix. ABC may not appreciate a program on their network referencing or even tying into a series that they are not showing, but as a part of the larger Disney/Marvel brand, they will go along with the idea. Daredevil has already begun filming and has generated quite a bit of buzz. Marvel would be wise to include some kind of lead-in from AoS whether it be direct or indirect. This can be anything from Charlie Cox's Matt Murdoch having a cameo in the series to Coulson's team discussing a costumed man without fear roaming Hell's Kitchen. Either way, it would be wise for Marvel to give the fans some kind of sign that Daredevil (and the other Defenders) exist in the same universe that the show and the movies do.
