If the Montgomery's from different seasons are indeed connected, it lends credence to a fan theory which suggests that Coven may be more important to the overall AHS mythology than previously realised. As demonstrated in Season 3, all of the witches on the show can trace their lineage back to the women who were persecuted during the Salem witch trials held centuries before. Coven isn't the only season that holds links to the areas of Massachusetts though, as the Harmon family from Season 1 originally came from Boston and Asylum's Briarcliff Manor is situated close by too. Could all of the horrendous events that transpire throughout each season of AHS be connected to the Salem witches in some way? This would be an easy way to connect the AHS universe that logically makes sense and there's always a chance that Season 5 may explore these links further.
