American Horror Story: 6 Iconic Horror Actors Who Should Star

By Dean Beirne /

4. Jamie Lee Curtis

Jamie Lee Curtis became a notable horror icon for being the first incarnation of Michael Myers's sister Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's Halloween franchise. Symbolised as a scream queen, to avoid typecasting she then went on to play supporting roles in comedies such as Freaky Friday or You Again to guest appearances on network television shows like NCIS. She hasn't been in public's eye too often which would make her easy to hire for a season of American Horror Story. With Jessica Lange stated not to return for the show's next season, maybe Curtis could fill her shoes as a similar character, whether she be the loving mother type with a dark secret, or a full fledged villain reminiscent of a psychotic killer. I could see her play any one of those roles and she would be an absolutely joy to see return to the screen back in the horror game. She has a fan base amongst the horror fans for being one of the first 'scream queens' and for creating such an iconic horror character that girls were able to relate to instead of casting the supermodel who is always running out the door. Jamie Lee Curtis would be a great guest on the show.
