Rarely does a theme song launch a catchphrase, but in Tim Allen's case, Home Improvement gave him just that chance. It's just a shame that catchphrase was some bizzare grunting noise that made him sound like a pervert. The story of Allen and his family (the Taylor family) where Tim was playing a local handyman who also appeared on his own DIY cable show, it contained all the laughs and humour you'd expect from 90s style American comedy the whole family could enjoy. Behind Cheers, the Cosby Show and Seinfeld it was officially the fourth highest watched American comedy series of the 90s. In 2003 the main cast reunited for a DVD special about the programme, which included the terminally ill Earl Hindman, himself offering only voiceover work at this stage to befit his situation and the character he played - Wilson - whose face was never seen once on screen. The show also launched Pamela Anderson's career, she played the part of Tim's assistant on 'Tool Time' (the aforementioned cable programme) before going on too appear as CJ Parker in Baywatch. Let's fix it....
