Arnold Schwarzenegger is Superhero THE GOVERNATOR!

By Matt Holmes /

Arnold Schwarzenegger's first post-term of office role will be as Arnold Schwarzenegger, a former politician who decides to become a superhero after his time as The Governor of California ends. Titled The Governator, the show will be animated and aimed at kids, and Schwarzenegger is providing his own voice and likeness to what sounds like a very personal project with Arnie's family members appearing as supporting characters. EW have let the cat out of the bag early (it was supposed to be announced in Cannes later) with a cover story that brings our first look at the show, to arrive late in 2012. Stan Lee is co-developing the project, which will also be made into a comic book. Lee says;
The Governator is going to be a great superhero, but he€™ll also be Arnold Schwarzenegger. We€™re using all the personal elements of Arnold€™s life. We€™re using his wife . We€™re using his kids. We€™re using the fact that he used to be governor. Only after he leaves the governor€™s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood.
The Governator will be able to fly via his powered suits, will have super vehicles, and have several young sidekicks (including a 13 year old computer geek) helping him out with one of the main baddies being €œan evil organization called Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-cons (or G.I.R.L.I.E. Men, for short).€ Arnie says;
€œWhen I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about €˜the Governator,€™ I thought the word was so cool The word Governator combined two worlds: the world of politics and the movie world. And brings everything together. It combines the governor, the Terminator, the bodybuilding world, the True Lies€ It takes my entire career, basically, whether it is bodybuilding, action movies, if it is the governorship, it takes all those things and combines it into one, and makes it into The Governator. That guy is designed to fight crime, to fight natural disasters, this guy will be jumping into action.. and he will eliminate the problems."
If the animated show is successful, don't be surprised if The Governator becomes a feature film. Meanwhile, Arnie has a dozen of feature film scripts on his desk right now for a potential live-action film return, including new updates to True Lies, Predator, The Running Man, The Terminator and an original project- With Wings As Eagles, an action movie that would find Arnie as high-ranking Nazi who turns sympathetic.
