Now that
Arnold Schwarzenegger is finished with his Governor of California duties, the 63 year old has hinted for a while that he could be ready to make a swift return to the world of full time make-believe. Arnie has been speaking to
Krone.at where he revealed he has three film scripts he is considering for a big acting return, one of them he is leaning towards is a World War II actioner titled
With Wings As Eagles. Written by
Randall Wallace (Braveheart, We Were Soldiers) at least a decade ago - the movie finds Schwarzenegger as a veteran Nazi "who gets the order at the ending of the war to kill a bunch of kids. But he doesn't do it and get them to safety at the risk of his life and it has all kind of adventure. This script is based on a true story!" A quick google search of With Wings As Eagles brings up the film's screenplay as the top result,
HERE. The film sounds like it could be a disastrous Z-movie picture or perhaps a fitting Sly Stallone-like comeback for the 80's and 90's action icon, who made a pleasant cameo in
The Expendables last year. Although playing a 'Good' Nazi didn't do an awful lot for
Tom Cruise the other year. Schwarzenegger is 63, does he still have the legs to be running around in an action/adventure film? When you get to his age, 8 years seems an awfully long time ago since
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and
Collateral Damage. When asked directly his time schedule for a return;
"No idea. I don't have a fixed plan. First of all I have to decide which one of these scripts appeals the most for me, then there have to be the right director and so on. But the movie-making is a part of my future plans. Some day the waiting is over again and I'm looking forward to that."
