We already knew by this point that Slade was a total badass, and that he was desperate for revenge on Oliver, but this absolutely chilling speech proved just how completely crazy he now was, and just how much he wanted to not only kill Oliver, but absolutely tear apart everything he knows and loves. Manu Bennett was superb in the role, and this was his crowning moment; delivered perfectly, he truly managed to convey the madness and the menace of the character, and it brilliantly set up the rest of the season 2 arc of Slade vs Oliver, which remains the best run of the show to date.
