Can Oliver Queen really be elected the Mayor of Star City? Can he even technically lose, if no one is running against him? That would be a pretty humiliating rejection. Oliver hasn't always had the easiest relationship with his fellow citizens, seen as something of a playboy, a difficult of time of things with the press, his mother being implicated in the Undertaking, and the fact that under his control Queen Consolidated totally failed. He gives a pretty convincing and earnest speech, but is it enough to win support of Star City? Will someone else now enter the race so that they can oppose Oliver Queen? Would it not be better, given the death rate, to just abolish the position of Mayor completely?
