Arrow: 9 Ways They Can Still Save Season 4

4. Improve The Action

The CW
It€™s not that the action has been outright bad so much as it€™s been uneven. There will be episodes with the most forgettable choreography imaginable, and then we€™ll get a great fight like the one in the freight elevator from this year€™s Brotherhood. If all the episodes handled action like that, there would be no issue. One of the failings of the action is how inept Oliver has become at fighting. Despite being able to stop fighting masters like Malcolm and Slade he now struggles with random HIVE footsoldiers. It just doesn€™t make any sense. To make matters worse, it feels as if the Green Arrow never even fires his bow anymore. Obviously he€™s going to need to punch some bad guys now and then but this is a show about a heroic archer, and he ought to be shooting arrows all the time like he used to. For an action based show like Arrow to have slumped so hard in the action department is a hard thing to overlook. Thankfully, it€™s something that is relatively easy to fix with the right directors, so here€™s hoping that€™s the case for the last few episodes.
