Arrow Ending: 5 Spin-Offs That Could Replace It
5. Superman
At this stage, a CW Superman series is such an obvious choice.
While the Superman character is presumably exclusive to Supergirl's Earth-38 and in no way directly related to Arrow, there are multiple cases for why it would make a suitable replacement. After all, Green Arrow was considered the Batman of the Arrowverse, so who better to succeed him than its very own Superman?
Ever since Tyler Hoechlin's Man of Steel debuted on Supergirl, there have been countless rumours about him starring in his very own show. While such a series has yet to materialize, the character's subsequent return in last year's Elseworlds crossover brought him (and the conversations) back into the fray. This time, however, he wasn't a just supporting character as he played more of a prominent role.
Thanks to the introduction of Lois Lane, we got to see the iconic couple interact in the Arrowverse for the very first time and even witnessed Clark Kent proposing to her before they departed for Argo City together. Not only would a Superman TV series allow the writers to expand upon the snippets of Kal-El's story that we've already seen, it would also come at an incredibly interesting time in his life, allowing us to see how he adapts to being a father while juggling his superhero duties.
With the Arrowverse preparing to lose their most formidable hero, it would make sense to replace him with an equally formidable one and, given the Man of Steel's heavy involvement in Elseworlds' tease of the impending Crisis (an event that is rumoured to directly impact Arrow), this would be the perfect time to pull the trigger on the long-rumoured Superman show.
