Arrow Season 4: 11 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Unchained'

4. Why Does Nyssa Need Oliver For Her Plan?

Oh, the League of Assassins is still a thing. Had almost forgotten about that. The Nanda Parbat story, the focus of Season 3, has really fallen by the wayside this year, with very little happening, mostly due to the fact Malcolm Merlyn has been playing father rather than Ra's al Ghul. It's back in action this week though, as Nyssa (captive after failing to bow to Ra's al Merlyn) escapes, and heads to Japan in search of the Lotus flower. Why, exactly? Well, it involves Oliver Queen. Basically, she somehow knows of Thea's predicament, and knows this will save her, and is using that in order to get Oliver to kill Malcolm. That seems like an awfully long-winded plan. Why does she need Oliver involved? She has a legion of assassins clearly loyal to her, and Malcolm is nowhere near Nanda Parbat. Rise up, take it for yourself, then have an army to defeat him. It might not work, but it's surely just as effective as asking Oliver to kill his sister's father.
