Arrow Season 4: 12 Questions We're Asking After 'Code Of Silence'

3. Why Couldn't We Have An Actual Debate?

I understand that Arrow isn't really 'that type of show', but it was nevertheless disappointing that we never actually got to see the debate between Oliver and Ruvé, since the episode was mostly centred around it. Sure, the action is great, and the series is more about the superhero side to their lives and storylines, but it could actually have been a lot of fun to see Oliver and Ruvé go head-to-head, even just for a couple of minutes. It would make the campaign storyline more interesting, and give us more to invest in, and also help flesh out Ruvé's character as well. This was something that was supposedly very important to the election, which is supposedly a big subplot this year, but it was totally glossed over. It'd be good if the show could invest some more time in moments like this to make that plot, and certain characters, really work.
