Not content with bringing Roy Harper back into the fold, Unchained carried on its shocking returns by also bringing back Shado. Killed during Season 2 and sparking the descent into madness of Slade Wilson, Shado has occasionally visited Oliver in hazy hallucinations, not to mention the fact that she conveniently has a twin sister who Ollie met over in Hong Kong. With Ollie being tortured on Lian Yu, it was a huge WTF moment to see Baron Reiter end up with an arrow through his chest. Even more shocking was when it was revealed to have been fired by the long-dead Shado. Of course, in the age-old TV tradition now, this was all revealed to be a dream brought on by the torture endured by Oliver.
