With family ties a constant theme of this episode, it was a shocker to see Malcolm Merlyn return to Star City. Whilst wed seen him trying to ring daughter Thea, it was just a tad eerie to see Merlyn step out of the shadows at the one time that his offspring finally answered her phone to him. What was then even more WTF was Merlyns suggestion to Thea that she should quench her bloodlust by killing a paedophile. As far as Arrow goes, this was certainly a bold move from the show to include such a plot point.
