Arrow Season 4: Things That Need To Happen Before The Mid-Season Break

By James Hunt /

1. The Typical Episode 9 Game-Changing Moment

Yeah, Game of Thrones isn't the only show that gets to have an epic, show-altering ninth episode, as it's become something of an Arrow trait as well over the past few years. In Season 1 it revealed Malcolm Merlyn to be the Dark Archer, while Season 3 gave us that memorable mountaintop fight between Oliver and Ra's. It was at its peak in Season 2, though, which served as the backdoor pilot for The Flash, and revealed that Slade Wilson was very much alive in the present, with Three Ghosts arguably the best episode Arrow has produced to date. So, yeah, this mid-season finale has a lot to live up to, and it needs to deliver on a game-changing moment, presumably involving Oliver and Damien Darhk. Whether that's part of a major fight, something to do with his powers, a huge twist about his character, or something else entirely, it promises to be huge, and means that the wait for the show to return will be far too long.
