Arrow Season 4: 16 WTF Moments From 'Beacon Of Hope'

Bee Man Begins...

By Andrew Pollard /

Following uber-rogue Damien Darhk being locked up, at least temporarily, this week€™s episode of Arrow saw another rogue step forward to butt heads with the Emerald Archer. Step forward, the returning Brie Larvan, aka the show€™s take on DC€™s Bug-Eyed Bandit. Larvan€™s tangles with the Green Arrow here, though, are secondary, for the initial target of her rage is Oliver€™s now-totally-ex Felicity Smoak. Waging war on Palmer Technologies, Bug-Eyed Bandit has her eyes on the prize that€™s lodged at the base of Felicity€™s spine. Yep, she€™s after the Curtis Holt-created tech that€™s allowed Felicity to walk once more. And on the topic of Curtis, Beacon of Hope saw the character take a step forward that many longtime DC fans were predicting since the character was announced as joining the show. Sure, he€™s not quite Mister Terrific just yet, but he€™s now an in-the-know ally of Team Arrow. Whilst this latest episode may not have been the best of Arrow outings, it did at least have plenty of shocking, surprising and random WTF moments laced throughout, and here€™s the very best of them.

16. Prison Perks

Beacon of Hope opened with one of its most WTF moments. And yes, I€™m totally talking about the fact that Brie Larvan, the nefarious Bug-Eyed Bandit, was allowed access to a computer whilst in prison. Larvan says that she€™s allowed 30-minute sessions in front of a computer, but this was just absolutely ridiculous. After all, this is a rogue who caused all kinds of chaos during her previous appearance in The Flash, and that chaos was all created from behind a computer screen. So yeah, the decision to hand Brie Larvan access to a computer was a forehead-slapping WTF one, and it was certainly one that backfired as she€™d soon hack into public records and bring forward her prison release date.
