Arrow Season 4: 16 WTF Moments From 'Beacon Of Hope'

5. Big-Eyed Bandit€™s Problems

Until now, the portrayal of Bug-Eyed Bandit has just been that of a slightly deranged, irked ex-employee of Mercury Labs who has a penchant for far too many bee puns. In Beacon of Hope, though, we got to see a slightly different angle to the rogue. In a nice twist, we find out that the reason that Brie Larvan is targeting Felicity Smoak is because she is having some major health issues of her own; as in, she€™s soon to be paralysed due to a tumor on her L4 vertebrae. It€™s a tragic element to what had until-then been seen as a generic villain-of-the-week sort, and it also gave the show a nice change from the usual €œI€™m just evil€ attitude that some of the oft-seen villains may have.
