4. The Secret Identity Argument

So Oliver has finally agreed to bringing in some new recruits to form a new Team Arrow. That’s all well and good, but the issue here centres on the Green Arrow’s secret identity.

Felicity and Curtis position Ollie as the bad guy and in the wrong when he decides to meet these new recruits as simply the Green Arrow, rather than turning up and introducing himself formally as Oliver Queen.

To the logical ones of us, it would make sense to keep up the full hero get-up when initially meeting these newbies. After all, if he were to turn up as plain ol’ Oliver Queen but the recruits didn’t work out or even went rogue, then the Green Arrow’s secret identity is out of the bag.

Ollie was absolutely right in being cautious and keeping his real identity secret, yet Arrow somehow tried to spin it that the Emerald Archer was the one in the wrong here.
